Our Methodical Process
01
Inspection & Triage
Every textile undergoes a clinical examination to identify structural weaknesses, dye stability, and previous restorations before any work begins.
02
Foundation Stabilization
Our master artisans reinforce the warp and weft fibers, ensuring the rug's structural integrity is secured prior to cosmetic restoration.
03
Artisanal Reweaving
Utilizing yarn color-matched to the original dyes, we execute invisible reweaving to repair holes, worn areas, and damaged patterns.
04
Final Finishing
The process concludes with specialized shearing and a final immersion wash to integrate the repairs seamlessly with the original pile.

COMMON INQUIRIES
How do you determine if a rug should be repaired or restored?
Our specialists perform a methodical inspection of the foundation, pile, and dye stability. We consider the rug's historical value, structural integrity, and your preservation goals to provide a clinical recommendation.
Can you match the original colors of an heirloom rug?
Yes. We use a vast archive of vegetable-dyed wools and specialty yarns. Our master artisans perform precision color-matching to ensure that reweaving and structural repairs remain invisible to the naked eye.
How long does a typical restoration process take?
Restoration is a clinical process that requires time for technical excellence. While minor repairs may take 2-4 weeks, complex structural reweaving can take several months depending on the density and area of damage.
Is it worth repairing a rug with significant structural damage?
Heirloom oriental rugs often appreciate in value. Structural reinforcement and invisible reweaving can preserve the longevity and artisanal investment of your piece for future generations.
What types of rugs do you specialize in repairing?
We specialize in high-end handmade textiles, including Persian, Turkish, Caucasian, and silk heirlooms. Every rug is treated as a unique artisanal work requiring specific heritage-based techniques.
